You may use the optional life insurance plan (paid for through payroll deduction) to obtain:

  •   A greater level of life insurance for yourself
  •   Life insurance for your dependents
  •   Accident protection for you and/or your dependent

Combined coverage for your spouse/domestic partner under both coverage options cannot
exceed 50% of your combined basic and optional life insurance.

 

 

Annual earnings refer to your annual earnings on record for the previous calendar year. If you did not work for the District the previous year, the District will use your projected annual earnings for the current calendar year.
