Congratulations to the classroom teachers who have been selected to participate in the iPod Touch Classroom Integration Program. Their classroom projects will be showcased next spring at InfoTech 2010.

We are proud to present the iPod Touch Classroom Integration Program awards to the following teachers:

Bryson Elementary School
Michael de la Torre, Teacher
. . . for his project where students will use the iPod Touch to collect information on health-related topics and record food choices into an online database they will use to analyze choices and make healthy eating decisions.
Budlong Avenue Elementary
John Resendez, Teacher
. . . for his language arts project where students will use the iPod Touch Notes application, along with voice memos and email, to explore word details such as definition, synonym, antonym and Latin root in order to expand their comprehension.
Harte Prep Middle School
Jay Davis, Teacher
. . . for his iHope + DMAC (Demonstration Media Arts Classroom) Project, where media arts students will learn to program applications using Apple XCode software and use the iPod Touch to interact with the applications they create.
Hollenbeck Middle School
Monica Guerrero, Robotics Teacher
. . . for her "inTouch with Robotics" project in which students will research the engineering as well as plan and collect data using the iPod Touch to assist in the building of a robot.
John Burroughs Middle School
Chang W. Lee, English Teacher
. . . for his "e-Learners" class project that will have 8th grade English students use the iPod Touch to collaborate online, read and listen to books and Podcasts and create Podcasts to support their reading and writing.
Owensmouth High School
Karen Wick, Language Arts Teacher
. . . for her class project that will have 9th and 10th grade students incorporate the iPod Touch into their English class to develop culminating tasks that will provide in-depth descriptions of their understanding of literary works in the form of audio and video Podcasts to be archived for sharing with other students.
Van Ness Avenue Elementary
Toiya Collins, Teacher
. . . for her class project that will have 4th grade students use the iPod Touch to collect data and keep a daily food and activity log as well as publish information for written and oral iHealth presentations demonstrating the relationships between healthy food choices, physical activity and good health.
