Summary	This Memorandum provides information and updates from the Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC) and the District, regarding authorizations for teachers who teach English learners (EL). It is also designed to provide guidance for K-12 administrators when assigning teachers who serve EL students. It should be noted that an EL authorization does not necessarily lead to a differential payment.
