FMLA – 104
The District’s computer application, Business Tools for Schools (BTS), has time codes in reporting time for payroll. For most FMLA situations, the reporting is straightforward. In other circumstances, especially when management fails or forgets to designate in writing the qualifying absence as FMLA, the time reporting for FMLA has several facets to understand.

FMLA – 105
“FMLA Eligibility” is based on measurements of an employee’s work time. Meeting these standards is required for an employee to ensure FMLA protections. Without FMLA eligibility, these rights do not exist. Therefore, it’s important to know how and when you as an employee are “FMLA eligible.”
VI. Bonding with a New Child
FMLA – 106
The District’s FMLA policy includes “child bonding”, or sometimes called “baby bonding”. This bonding is meant to allow time off to a new parent with a new child so that there can be enjoyment with each other for a reasonable period of time. There are numerous rules and requirements as described.
