District personnel often bring personal property to their worksite for use in the course of their duties to increase their productivity and/or to enhance the educational experience.
The Division of Risk Management and Insurance Services located on the 28th floor of the Beaudry Building at 333 South Beaudry Avenue, Los Angeles, CA, is responsible for the administration of the Employee Reimbursement Program.
Board 1672
There is no District insurance available to cover such personal property or loaned equipment, and the Board of Education cannot legally repair or replace it if it is stolen or damaged. Therefore, Board Rule 1672 established the Employee Reimbursement Program (ERP) to provide assistance to employees in such circumstances. This is not an insurance program; it is an employee benefit established by and paid for by LAUSD.
Property Registration
To be eligible for reimbursement coverage under the provisions of Board Rule 1672, personal property brought by
employees for use in schools or offices must be registered, using the Property Registration Form.
