| Improving student attendance is a top priority in LAUSD this year. The district has set a goal of a 2% increase in student attendance for the 2004-2005 school year. The Count Me In! campaign supports school efforts to meet the district’s goals. This effort will greatly increase student learning and graduation rates to prepare students for a positive future. Also, it will generate an additional $60 million in state funds, half of which will be disbursed to the schools that show improvement.
