The Children's Health Access and Medi-Cal Program (CHAMP) supports academic achievement and promotes wellness by enrolling children and youth into health insurance programs.

The 2009-2010 "Express Enrollment Meal Application" is a web base tutorial in English and Spanish that provides instructions for families whose children are eligible for free meals and Medi-Cal benefits. This new process is called the "Express Enrollment" and the students and families of Local District 5 are particpating in a pilot study for this program. However, students and parents from other Districts who express an interest in applying for Medi-Cal Benefits may call 1 866-742-2273 for further information.
