Crisis Counseling and Intervention Services (CCIS), under the auspices of the Office of the Chief Operating Officer, is dedicated to restoring and maintaining a safe and healthy learning environment for the 688,000 students and 77,000 employees of the Los AngelesUnifiedSchool District. CCIS staff provides support and technical assistance, collaborating with local, state and national agencies to facilitate crisis response and recovery services.
Local District Crisis Team Training for the 2009-2010 school year was held on Friday, October 2, 2009 from 7:30 a.m. -- 3:30 p.m. at the California Endowment. District Crisis Teams were trained in crisis response and threat assessment.
