  We believe that Green Desktop will be a great help to you in keeping your computers updated, as well as simplifying and speeding up the overall technical maintenance processes. Also, the Green Desktop power management settings will automatically reduce your electricity consumption when your computer is unused (idle) for a period of time.

 Recently, Information Technology Division (ITD) undertook a project to reduce the costs of printing in its Beaudry floors. ITD, like most administrative offices, had large numbers of personal printers in addition to standard network printers. While the purchase cost of personal printers is low, the operational costs of power and supplies are much higher than that of network printers. ITD was able to reduce the number of its printers by 90% (from 330 to 30) without any staff member being located more than 50 feet from a printer.
